Raspberry Chocolate Baked Oatmeal

This is my latest delicious take on a breakfast that I love. Try this decadent baked oatmeal this weekend for a simple but elegant break from the mundane. This recipe makes 2 large or 4 regular servings.
Raspberry Chocolate Baked Oatmeal
Ingredients:
1 cup steel cut oats
¾ cup freeze‐dried raspberries, divided
¼ teaspoon lemon zest
¼ cup dark chocolate morsels
¼ cup milk chocolate morsels
3 ½ cups milk, or unsweetened plain almond milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Pinch of sea salt
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Pour oats evenly into a greased 2‐quart oven‐proof dish.
Distribute ½ cup of the raspberries evenly over the oats.
Distribute the dark chocolate morsels over the raspberries.
Distribute the lemon zest over everything.
Mix milk and vanilla in measuring cup. Pour it evenly over the other ingredients.
Place in oven on center rack and bake for 50 to 55 minutes. Remove from oven and let rest until oatmeal reaches desired level of doneness.
Garnish with milk chocolate, the rest of the freeze-dried raspberries, crushed on top.
